"Victims" Drypoint Print by Donald Earley
Donald Earley has created his "Victims" print using a drypoint technique.
This is a simple but moving rendering showing beautiful line and shading. The simple composition makes this an enduring piece of art.
The matted and framed drypoint measures 17.5 inches wide by 21 inches tall and is presented in a simple black frame with hanging hardware on the back.
This is an "artist's proof".
Drypoint is a printing process in which lines are drawn on a metal plate with a stylus called a drypoint needle. The stylus raises a "burr" in the metal, creating velvety effects on the print. Drypoint looks like an etching but avoids the use of acid, making it a safer and easier way of producing a good quality print.
