Color Shifting Dichroic Glass Green/Gold Earrings
You are going to love the color shifts in these pretty handmade dichroic glass earrings! Sometimes blue and sometimes gold, these oval glass cabochons just can't make up their minds! When the lighting changes, the colors shift! The cabochons in these earrings were fully fused in the kiln at 1400 degrees F and layered with a black back.
The cabochons hang from good quality, strong sterling silver ear wires that have bead embellishments.
FAQ Dichroic glass was first developed by NASA as part of their satellite mirrors. The exceptionally thin coatings are applied to glass in very controlled environments. Di-chroic means two colors and this glass reflects/transmits different colors depending on the angle of light. When it is worn with different colors, it can pick up and reflect some of those colors so it really enhances the total look.
